Comments:

The day after graduation I went to work as a secretary for a mobile home dealership. Then when the Tacoma Mall opened in October 1965 I worked in the shoe department at J.C. Penneys. A few months later I took a job in the merchandise records department. Quit work in August 1968. My daughter, Danelle, was born January 1969 and I didn't work for 3 years, then went back working for Penneys. Divorced in 1972. Penneys employees went on strike, August 1975, for two months and in October I started working for Pierce County Medical right before the strike ended. Married Dean Rennie, a teacher from MT, in December 1975. Our daughter, Jennifer, was born February 1977. I quit work and stayed home for a few years. Then worked during the holidays at Brown's Flowers for about 5 years. Also, cleaned houses during that time. That way I could spend more time with my family. About 1983 I started working full time for Calcutta Mission of Mercy, a fund raising office for a missionary in Calcutta, India. Left in December 1989 when the missionary died. In January 1990, I started working for the Tacoma School District as an enrollment secretary at McCarver Elementary. Was there for 13 years. In 2003 I moved to Mason Middle School. On August 31, 2012, I retired. The day after my 65th birthday. I love to travel. In 2003 we took a trip to China. It was a land/cruise tour. Traveling down the Yanzee River was amazing. We traveled to England, Ireland, and Scotland, in 2005. That was my favorite trip ever. We also traveled to Europe the summer of 2009. I'd been looking forward to that trip for a long time but it was too fast paced for me. If I went back, I'd returned to Austria and Switzerland. Dean and I separated in August 2014 and divorced September 2015. Three of my kids live within 15 minutes of me. Our daughter, Jennie and her husband Ben, live in Columbia, MD., outside of Baltimore. It's nice to be able to visit her and travel on the East Coast. I am very blessed to still have my mother. My dad survived open heart surgery at 85 and a major stroke at 86. Even though he had some limitations, he lived to be 89. My mother just turned 90 in August and still lives in the same house in Tacoma where I lived during high school. She and her husband are still in pretty good health. Spend a lot of time with my younger sister, Barbee. Keep in touch with many classmates. Known a lot of them since kindergarten. Yikes, that's a long time! I cherish those friendships. Gave my life to the Lord in August of 1979 and am a conservative Christian. I loved seeing many of you at the 50th class reunion:)

School Story:

I look back on my years in school as some of the happiest of my life. Went all through school, K-12, with a many of you. Met a lot more friends at Gray Junior High and then was blessed to add a few more at MT. When some of us get together, we have great stories, and love to relive them. There was no greater time to grow up than the 50's and 60's!
