John died April 9, 2006 from cancer. All I know about John since High School is that he was apparently very successful and very civic minded. John was a good man and a good friend in School. I knew him from elementary school at Edison and then again at MT.

John was a special person and a great friend both playing baseball at the South End Boys Club, playing ping pong in his basement, and as a classmate at Gray Jr. High and Mt. Tahoma.  John was always cheery and a can-do person.  I miss him, and wish I had spent more time reconnecting with him in our adulthood.  Thanks, John, for all you added to my life..

Yes....John [and too many of our other classmates] left us too soon.  John tried to get me into his fraternity at WSU....but I stayed a GDI.  John and Joe Gunther were in our wedding in 1968.......even though John and Sheryl dated at MT.   Over the years we saw John and Sue when they were in Puyallup.  Sheryl and I attended his memorial service in Lynden.  There was a great showing of  love and admiration from his Mayberry family and Lynden friends. I'll always remember that shot John made from the top of the key that one a pretty critical basketball game.
