Penny Drost (Drost)
On March 8, 1947, Gary was born. 19 days later I was born. Our moms met hanging diapers on the clothesline just across the alley from each other. That was the beginning of our two households becoming one wonderful family. Gary and I became best buddies. And yes, we got in a little trouble together from time to time, just like a brother and sister. Our families did everything together from summer camping trips to Lake Chelan, to trips to the ocean beach to set off fireworks on the 4th of July, to attending police (my dad) and fire (Gary's dad) annual picnics. It was a time that fills my heart with cherished memories. I love you Gary.

Gary was a wonderful person and very smart, too! We studied our Civics together before our tests and it sure helped me a lot. So happy he and April had many wonderful years, but not enough!

I met Gary in Arlington Kindergarten. Gary, Bob Cliff, Dennis Dudley, etc. all of us playing together all the way through high school. Can't think of any unkind words coming out of Gary's mouth. He was a great friend and companion throughout those years. I enjoyed seeing him at the reunions and am sorry to hear of his passing. R.I.P., Gary. You were a really good person!!
