Mel & I were team presenters for Engaged Encounter through the church for almost 20 years. misc.jobs including Bingo manager for 10yrs.; Owner/operator industrial catering truck;banquet coordinator-U.S.A. of Yesterday;8yrs working for credit union;9 yrs. Tacoma School employee
Took the leap and retired. Mel retired the end of June. Boy, is retirement different. Have downsized from a house to a condo. --2bdrm./2bath 1100 sq. ft. perfect!! Mel was soo bored being retired he went back to work as a car salesman the 1st of April, 2013 and plans to work thru Nov., then take a break and winter in Ariz. At age 77, 2019, he is still selling cars. Loves his job and is really good at it. He works for 5mos. and then retires again. Ha!!!!! His health is good and as long as he's happy, I'm happy. For our 50th wedding Anniv. we visited Greece for 2.5 wks. All lodging arranged with ARBB and VRBB. Surreal, I kept having to remind myself it wasn't a dream.

Our singing group (Velvetts) sang for 3 yrs in the talent show. It was such fun at the big bonfire before a football game. Remember the sound of the tower bell at the beginning of the day and when we went to the city championship game at the U.P.S. fieldhouse.
